January
We kicked off 2025 with TechStyle! Purple has been putting our J850 TechStyle printer to work, and our hoodie collection is definitely a standout.
From skulls to Porsche-inspired designs, we’ve built an impressive lineup now showcased in our showroom. We’ve been having fun experimenting with textures and prints.
FEBRUARY
In February, Stratasys introduced a Carbon Fiber Visual Print Option for ABS-CF10 on F Series printers. This new print mode uses a finer layer height to deliver much smoother surface quality straight off the printer, while still keeping the added stiffness and strength that comes from carbon fiber reinforced ABS. It gives teams a way to produce strong, lightweight jigs and fixtures that also look good without extra finishing.
MARCH
In March, we hosted our first Open House of the year, focused on SAF and GrabCAD Print Pro. It was a great chance to show real customer ROI’s with SAF, and how easy GrabCAD Print Pro is to use in a production workflow.
Guests got to see the H350 up close, handle finished parts, and hear real results during our presentations. We had two great sessions, one on SAF and customer ROI’s led by Dominic Saigh, Stratasys’ Director of Business Development, and another on GrabCAD Print Pro that included a live demo from our own Senior R&D Engineer, Cameron Williams.
april
April was a busy month for Stratasys. ToughONE launched as a new PolyJet material compatible across J Series printers, giving teams a tougher option for PolyJet parts. It’s flexible, impact resistant, and supports drillable, millable, and self tapping features, making it well suited for functional prototypes and end use parts.
Stratasys also expanded its SLA lineup with the Neo 800+, built for large, high accuracy parts with excellent surface quality.
On the software side, a new partnership with trinckle brought fixturemate into GrabCAD Print Pro, helping teams design custom fixtures faster and with less effort.
MAY
In May, the Purple team traveled to Minnesota for the Partner Summit. It was a great opportunity to get an early look at announcements coming later in the year, connect with teams from around the world, and dive into meaningful discussions around upcoming updates.
The experience gave our team valuable insights to carry into the year ahead.
JUNE
June brought some exciting news from Stratasys. Onulis was officially named a Validated by Vendor Solution, spotlighting its full P3 and DLP post-processing workflow with CleanPoint, WRAP Prime, and CrossLink. The validation shows that Onulis’ solutions work seamlessly alongside Stratasys systems and meet the performance and integration standards teams expect on the production floor.
JULY
New printer alert! In July, Stratasys rolled out the Fortus 450mc Gen III, giving its long-standing industrial FDM platform a refresh.
The new version adds broader material support, reliability upgrades, and smoother software integrations with GrabCAD Print Pro and Streamline Pro. Overall, it opens the door for more applications and makes day-to-day printing a bit easier.
It also ties right in with the Fortus FDC drying cabinet, which keeps materials like ULTEM 9085 and Nylon 12CF in the right condition. And yes, the Fortus 450mc III showed up with a clean new look to match the updated tech inside.
August
August brought an exciting update with TPU 92A now available in high-visibility red. It’s a solid option for printing flexible end-use parts like hoses and sweeping ducts, while helping teams cut part costs by up to 1.8× and reduce labor time by as much as 76% when used with QSR support on the F123 Series.
The bright red color also makes tooling much easier to spot on the shop floor.
September
September was a big month at Purple’s headquarters with the arrival of not one, but two Neo 800+ printers.
Why the Neo 800+ stands out
- Large build volume of 800 × 800 × 600 mm for big parts and high-volume jobs
- Up to 50% faster print speeds compared to earlier Neo models
- Upgraded 4W laser and ScanControl+ for better throughput and accuracy
- Improved reliability and consistency for production-focused SLA work
The added capacity has helped our Service Bureau move faster and take on more materials like Somos EvoLVe 128 and Somos BioClear. It also gives customers a chance to see the scale, speed, and part quality of the Neo 800+ in person.
October
2025 was a big year for truck tours. We hit the road early, making our way through Southern California before heading out to Arizona, then looping back up the state and finishing strong in Phoenix at the Lucid Innovation Hub. Every stop brought great conversations, strong turnout, and a lot of excitement along the way, making the miles well worth it.
The tour opened the door to new opportunities and gave customers a true hands on experience. Stepping inside the mobile showroom and seeing the technology up close helped teams better understand what’s possible and how it could fit into their day to day workflow. Want to be the first to hear about our 2026 dates? Send us an email and we’ll keep you in the loop.
November
November brought many updates from Stratasys. Origin users saw the launch of RG3280, a new ceramic filled material designed for stiffness and heat resistance, along with refreshed OpenAM materials offering improved performance across P3 and DLP systems.
On the FDM side, Stratasys introduced CoatReady print mode for the F900 with ULTEM 9085, helping deliver smoother surface finishes with less post processing. The Fortus 450mc also received a boost with the new Nylon 12CF T40 Tip, aimed at faster builds for carbon fiber reinforced parts.
Rounding out the updates, the Neo800+ gained LayerControl+ through the Titanium platform, while the SAF H350 showcased an Enhanced Accuracy Mode to improve part accuracy and reduce warping on larger builds.
