This month, Porcupine Sales Engineer, Alex Goldsberry, is highlighting one of his favorite parts in our showroom. The FDM elephant is “easily identified as a basic mock-up toy application, while providing multiple features associated with an FDM printed part.” The part stands out due to its “assembly that allows for movement of the legs.”
The value of the elephant print “shows how print orientation and part geometry correlate with the stair-stepping effect seen in FDM printing (smooth body, stair-stepping towards the center of the back).”
This part helps our customers envision how their FDM printed part will look before it is printed, and how they would like their part to be oriented based on critical features.
To learn more about the parts in our showroom, stop by our office or give us a call at 949.474.9222.
