Purple Platypus and Toyota collaborate in bringing 3D printed replicas of Toyota’s FT-1 Concept Car
LOS ANGELES, California (November 20, 2014) – Purple Platypus Inc. partners up with Toyota for the LA Auto Show at Los Angeles Convention Center located in Downtown L.A.
Toyota seeks Purple Platypus, a Stratasys 3D printer distributor and rapid prototyping service bureau, to 3D print replicas as part of their announcement of Toyota’s new FT-1 concept vehicle. Purple Platypus will be participating in the 12-day event showcasing a live demo of the FT-1 on a Stratasys uPrint SE Plus. Toyota will be distributing a limited supply of 3D printed replicas of the FT-1. The FT-1 revisits their previous sports car aesthetics while packing speed, energy and futuristic element.
