Maker of Digital Fabrication Tools Targets Professional Designers and Educators with Unique Combo
Irvine, California, September 3, 2014 – Roland DGA Corporation, a leading manufacturer of wide-format inkjet printers and 3D devices, announced today the release of the monoFab™ series, including the company’s new compact 3D subtractive milling machine, the monoFab™Â SRM-20.
“The monoFab™Â series desktop fabrication tools are the culmination of over 25 years of experience in 3D milling,” said Rachel Hammer, 3D product manager for Roland DGA. “By combining the capabilities of these advanced rapid prototyping machines, users can select the best method for their workflow, from concept to production. Now, designers have greater opportunities to turn their ideas into reality.”
The SRM-20 desktop mill incorporates the latest subtractive rapid prototyping technologies. With its new milling spindle, independent collet, circuit board and firmware, the SRM-20 delivers speed, precision and ease of use in a compact desktop size. The SRM-20 can mill a variety of non-proprietary materials typically used for prototyping, including acrylic, ABS, wood and modeling wax, making it possible to check the feel and weight of materials that are similar or the same as final deliverables. An interlocked cover prevents dust from escaping during milling for a safe, clean and quiet environment. A full suite of software is included for out-of-the-box productivity.
The monoFab™Â SRM-20 is now available at Purple Platypus.  For more product information, visit SRM-20.
