Medical Workflow Advantage
Realistic Anatomical Modeling
Create highly realistic anatomical models that mimic real human tissue, both visually and mechanically. This level of realism supports better surgical planning, more effective education, and more accurate device testing across clinical and research environments.
Greater Cost Efficiency
Costs are reduced by bringing production in-house, lowering per-part expenses, eliminating recurring external costs, and enabling scalable, on-demand model production with consistent quality.
Faster Workflows
Streamline workflows through intuitive software, automation, and multi-model printing, reducing manual effort and enabling faster production with less handling and fewer bottlenecks for improved turnaround times.
Data Security & Confidentiality
By keeping patient data on-site, in-house workflows better safeguard sensitive information—an essential priority in today’s regulatory landscape.
Medical-Ready, Safe, and Certified

Digital Anatomy Creator
Digital Anatomy Creator (DAC) is an optional add-on to GrabCAD Print that expands what’s possible with the DAP platform. It allows users to create custom presets, combining materials and structures to replicate anatomies beyond the standard library, and modify existing presets to better match specific needs. For example, a pediatric orthopedic surgeon could adjust a bone preset to be softer and lower density to better reflect younger patients.
DAC is not required to operate a DAP printer, but it’s a powerful tool for anyone looking to create highly customized or patient-specific anatomical models.
FAQs
With Stratasys’ lineup of 3D printers, wide range of materials, and powerful software, they provide a versatile set of additive manufacturing solutions capable of tackling complex challenges across nearly any industry.
Stratasys PolyJet technology focuses on multi-material realism, repeatability, and validated workflows. Stratasys also has biocompatible materials across all 5 of their 3D technologies. PolyJet Digital Anatomy systems can replicate soft tissue, bone, and complex structures in a single print, which is impossible with most other technologies.

Stratasys systems can achieve a very high accuracy, within ±100-200 microns depending on the technology and material. This level of precision is suitable for surgical planning and device validation.
Yes, many systems are designed for the office or hospital settings with enclosed systems, low emissions, and simplified workflows that reduce handling of raw materials.
The Stratasys ProAero Air Extractor is an air filtration system that is compatible with many Stratasys 3D printers and is designed for office environment 3D printing. It ensures that any particles, fumes, or odors generated will be captured and cleaned before being recirculated back into your workplace environment.
Print times vary based on size and complexity, but many anatomical models can be produced in under 8 hours. You can run multiple prints a day by also operating your machines overnight.
No, the workflows are designed to be straightforward and to reduce manual effort with an automated file prep, material selection, and print setup.
With Stratasys 3D printers, all Purple Platypus customers can receive comprehensive in-person training through Purple Platypus University, in addition to the installation training. Our hands-on training ensures that you maximize the value of your investment.
