PA11 – The material is made from castor oil, which has minimal environmental effects. Additionally, it offers superior mechanical performance and can withstand more stretching compared to PA12. PA11 was chosen specifically for this reason as the clacker’s drum face required a 0.009″ wall, then it had to be stretched to create an oil can effect. With its superior elongation at break, PA11 is uniquely qualified to handle this extreme forming operation. The material’s toughness is perfectly suited for the clacker’s high cycle and high impact requirements.
