In this edition of 30 on 3D, Purple’s Systems Supervisor, Jason Brown, explains how to properly shut down your PolyJet 3D printer. With the recent outbreak of COVID-19, many of our customers are taking precautions and working from home. If you own a PolyJet 3D printer that will be inactive during this time, it is very important the process is properly completed.
First, you need to make sure you have enough cleaning fluid. The necessary amount varies by printer, so be sure to check your user guide.
Next, you follow the procedures in the Shutdown Wizard. The Shutdown Wizard is located in the Options menu of your computer’s interface.
Once the Wizard has complete, you should clean the print heads one last time, to make sure that all the resin has been removed.
